Data acquisition systems

Remote data acquisition systems based on the ModBus RTU protocols enable the creation of a multi-point control system for various parameters of the technological process. This type of system, thanks to the significant reduction of the necessary wiring (usually to a single four-conductor line), is becoming increasingly popular in new or modernised control and supervision systems. The basic element of each remote acquisition system is a measuring module. Each module differs in its design of input circuits, as they are used to measure different electrical quantities. Among the vast range of measuring modules, the most commonly used are those for the measuring of temperature, current, or voltage, as well as modules for binary inputs and meter modules. The measured data can be transmitted up to 1,000m, thanks to the use of the RS-485 connection.
